E-mailed Diamond Garage Doors for a 2nd opinion. Jon called me a couple of hours later with a quote much less then Sears. Jon came out same day and replaced only what was needed. Saved $300.00. We will definitely call them to put in a door opener in our other garage.
Jon knows garage doors and openers! He quickly and expertly solved my problem and showed me how to DIY in the future. Great work and prices to beat any competitor. He made a chore a pleasure!

Description of work: I pulled the disconnect cord from the track of my two garaqe door. Using the wall pad button it would not travel back on to the track. The motor would just hum. From Angie's List, about 8 PM I called Diamond Garage Doors. Jon answered the phone. I never expected him to show up that same evening. He was at my house before 9 PM and in no time all was working. I was also without a remote control as mine had recently broken. Fortunately, Jon had a Genie which was compatible after he programmed it. Jon was very personable and easy to talk with. He taught me how to program the remote control.
He also left me some spray for the hinges. I will very definitely call Diamond again if needed. The following day I went to the Home Depot for a second Genie intellicode, pre 1995. The manager called Genie for info. but got the usual recordings, "someone will be with you shortly." We waited and waited. He sat at the desk, finally putting the phone loudly on speaker. I walked around the store, returning in over an hour, and the same stale Genie message was playing. Genie never came on the phone. That was my frustrating experience with Genie for years, which I had related to the Home Depot. It took Jon far less time to fix my garage door, than being on hold waiting for Genie, without success. For lack of Genie customer service, I do not recommend having Genie garage equipment.
Had a great experience! Called on a Sunday and my garage door was fixed that afternoon at below the cost I was expecting! Will definitely be using this company next time I'm in need!
I have been using John for the last 10 years. He has installed 5 garage doors for me and they have been amazing. I got the Heritage 3000 which has an R valve of 9.3. SO MUCH BETTER then the non-insulated. I would highly recommend having John from Diamond Garage Doors replace and tune up your door. When my motors go, I will be calling them.
Jon is simply the best! He kept me informed about his forthcoming visit, and when he got here he was careful about making sure the car parked in the garage was protected. He predicted he'd need no more than 45 minutes, and he was true to his word. He spent a little more time instructing me how to lubricate our doors annually. And then he presented the bill, which was simply too low.
Jon did an excellent job and gave me a running dialog on what he was doing and what I should do for maintenance. One could see he knew what he was doing, no wasted motions, and my broken spring is history and my door works smoother than ever. He even thought to ask about programming my SUV to work as a door opener; it works! I will not hesitate to recommend him. He even gave me an unasked for discount.
I called John about our garage door being stuck and will not open. He told me it could be the spring, but wondered if i could send him a picture. I send him a picture of the garage door and springs and he told that it was the spring. He asked if he could come in the morning to fix it, because he has some prior commitments. I said that we have to go to work and the car is stuck in the garage. He said let me see and he told me that he could be free after 11:30pm., is that late or he could come by 7:00am. I told him that night time is good and he came to my house at 11:45 and fixed the garage till 12:45pm. He did not charge extra or anything and he did an excellent job. John is the owner of the company and his customer service is excellent.
My spring snapped on my garage door. Diamond Garage Doors was there that day (within 4 hours of my call) and replaced the spring. Jon knows his stuff and explained the how and why. You cannot ask for better service when you have a repair.
